This story takes place at Nong Nom Vua Village. The story begins with Yam, a village woman who has three children: Prayong, Prayoon and Payom. Yam is angry at Aum’s husband, a neighbor who killed her husband. Aum’s husband has since died, leaving Aum with their two children: Aumpon and Aurai. The story becomes more complicated when Aumpon marries Prayong, despite the objections of Yam. Aumpon gives birth to a son, Yongyut. Yam pressures Aumpon break up with Prayong. Yam also arranges for Aurai to break up with Luepong so that Luepong can marry Yam’s daughter, Payom. Prayong dies from alcoholism. Aumpon wants her son back, but Yam refuses.
