Mekhala, or May, is a famous actress who is self-centered and irritable. Born in a rich family but her parents die since Mekhala was young, she was raised without love and care by her aunt, Kaimook who spends her fortune freely together with her daughter, Margarine. By the time Mekhala realizes, she already has a big debt. Since she stands to inherit her family’s Sainampuemg rural estate but does not want to live in the countryside, she secretly goes to Sainampueng forest, one of the most beautiful teak forests in Thailand in order to sell the land. At the train station, May meets Prim, one of her big fans who comes to work as a volunteer teacher at a school there. May and Prim swap dresses and their ring as a souvenir for their first meet. When Paya, a farm owner who works really hard to preserve the forest, comes to pick Prim up, May asks for a ride to her estate as well. When he knows that Mekhala wants to sell her land, he tries to persuade her how important it is for the forest conservation. On the way, they have a terrible car accident and Prim dies. Since she was wearing May’s dress, everyone thinks that it is May who passed away instead of Prim. As a result of the accident, May has a temporary amnesia. Only Paya knows who May really is, but since he does not want her to sell the land, he tells her that she is a volunteer teacher who has to work there for a year. Living comfortably all her life, May is struggling at this remote area. Beautiful nature gradually wins her heart, but soon she has to decide what really important in her life; wealth or a true happiness.
